Back to Work

This is my first session back to work and I got to photograph another beautiful senior. She decided to have her photos done at her home, which is GORGEOUS, its a old historic home on the water- to die for. She also has two adorable dogs that we shot with, which *almost* makes me want to do pet photography.

I also want to share just a few pictures from MY session last night. I went solo- bad idea! Laila wanted to eat just about the second we got there, and if you've met Laila yet, you know she is the sloooowest eater on the planet so she either had a bottle stuck in her mouth or was whining about having a bottle stuck in her mouth the entire time. And everyone knows how spazzy Riley is, the second I blink she's at the other side of the beach or doing something she shouldn't be doing. But Vanessa did an awesome job of capturing us anyways! Just a couple...

Last night I photographed Vanessa's family (of Vanessa's photography), and tonight, hopefully she'll be photography me and the girls! They were climing trees, jumping in the air and getting a little wet all in the sake of good photos- an advantage of shooting another photographer. Check them out!

8 things and a new camera!

I've been tagged by Vanessa of Vanessa's Photography for a blog game. This was way harder than it should of been, I actually had to think about it overnight. Wow! Here is 8 random fact about me and I'm suppose to tag 8 more people but could only think of 4, everyone has already been tagged- check out their blogs!

1. Most people don't know that I'm just 20 years old.
2. I flunked (with a capital "F"!) photography when I was in high school.
3. I haven't eaten fast food beef in 9 months, I gave it up after watching "Fast Food Nation" (and I don't miss it!).
4. Riley has EVERYTHING I ever wanted when I was little, I'm scarred for life because my mom never let me have a pair of jelly shoes or a life size stuffed animal. (Not really :) )
5. I used to have a SERIOUS fear of the telephone up until this year.
6. I was on national television (for 5 seconds) when my family's home was on HGTV's Designers Challenge.
7. I hate fruit
8. I love vegetables

On a different note, this weekend I decided it was time for an upgrade so I bought another camera. My regular is shipped off getting a tune up, and I have so many sessions coming up, it was just time. So I took my first pictures with "her" this morning...

Riley gave me an interesting series of faces, which was different because she usually ignores the camera all together.


And Laila turned a month old yesterday.

Drown the Gown!

A few of my photos were featured on www.letsgettrashed.com- a website dedicated to featuring images of prom dress trashing. It was a couple weeks ago but you can check them out HERE. I think dress trashing is a really neat idea especially for seniors, its so different from the cheesey photos you usually get in your prom dress, and REALLY when will you ever where it again (it'll be out of style by next season!;) )

There is now an easy way to book and pay for a session online, which also means I now accept credit cards! To book an appointment for Marathon Session Weekend or just a regular Premium Sitting (which IS on sale for $299 until 9/1!), visit www.shelbyleigh.brownbookit.com.

If you want to schedule a session for Marathon Session Weekend: First, select "Marathon Session Weekend Sitting". Next, go to September 1 or 2 on the calander and pick your prefered session time from the list of available times(Marathon Session Weekend Ends at 6pm on each day!). Then enter your information and check out!



TO schedule a regular Premium Sitting: Select what kind of session you'd like to book, Premium Sitting. Then, you will choose which day you'd like to schedule your session for. I currently accept bookings on Sundays, Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays- there is only one appointment time available online which is 6-8pm, which is when I schedule sesssions for the best lighting situations. And OF COURSE I can book earlier times if needed.Finally, enter your information and checkout!

I do reccomend you email or call before booking a session online to double check the availablity of the day/time and to discuss your session! I hope this makes it more convenient for you to book and pay for your sessions!

Christmas in...August

I like to use any excuse to do something different or have a fun sale so to celebrate the birth of little Laila and me coming back to work I am having a Marathon Session Weekend on September 1&2! If you have no idea what i mean when I say that- I will be booking mini, 30 minute sessions all day long for just $50 a slot. You'll get to view your photos just days later on your own private gallery and order as little or as much as you want! All sessions are welcome, call or email to reserve a slot,the only thing is sessions must be booked at a location within 15 miles of 21401 (Annapolis), I know plenty of spots if you don't!
